The T20 match between Aliens and Kringså cricket clubs took place on the fourth of July 2020 at Stubberumyra cricket ground. The team members welcomed David Lampshire who made his debut for Oslo Aliens. Kringsjå cricket club won the toss and elected to bowl first. Mitch De Beurs and Marcus Andrew Lyon opened the innings for Aliens. The first boundary came from Mitchel’s blade. The fifth over was very eventful, Marcus scored a boundary of the second ball of the over and he played another wonderful shot for four on the fourth ball of the over, however when he tried to dispatch the last ball of the over to the boundary as well, the fielder managed to take the catch and Aliens lost its first wicket. Mitchel’s lost his wicket when he was at 25 runs and Damon scored nine runs. The skipper (David Kuhlwilm) ensured that Aliens posts a good total on the scoreboard by leading from the front, he scored 33 runs not out of only 28 balls, this included a four and a nice pull shot for six. The debutant David Lampshire also contributed with a crucial 20 of 17 balls this included a boundary and a huge six. Benan’s contribution of 20 runs of only 8 balls at a strike rate of 250 ensured an ideal finish for Aliens, this included two back to back fours and a handsome six in the last over.
Damon Crawford opened the bowling attack and provided Aliens with an early breakthrough in his second over. The next wicket was claimed by Peter Lovegro who bowled a change of pace and the batsman skied it to David L who took a well-judged catch. The next batsman was trapped when he struck the ball towards the fielder at 45° where Benan took a nice catch of Arif’s bowling. In the eleventh over another wicket fell to Arif’s bowling when Damon took a brilliant and nicely judged catch near the boundary line. Sudesh sent the next batsman back to the pavilion by bowling him out with a beautiful delivery. The next couple of overs were a bit expensive and hence the skipper decided to bring back Damon Crawford who bowled out Md J. Rahman and in the next delivery Achal collected the ball nicely and ran towards the baller end and knocked off the bails to claim the first run out of the innings. In the last four overs Benan and Crawford bowled nice and accurate deliveries that lead to defending the posted total, Aliens won the match by four runs.
