T20 Oslo 2021 Match 5: MASK A vs Aliens
The second game of the double header weekend saw Aliens face up to the unbeaten Mask A at the Rommen 'Oval' in a league T20. Aliens won the toss and elected to have a bowl. Damon and Dennis shared the new ball and kept it tight with good pace. Dennis bowled through his 4 overs and ended his 4 over spell with 0 for 18. Arif and Bennan came on as the first change and continued the good work of opening bowlers. 10 overs had flown by with Mask A only putting 50 on the board. Mask A had other plans however their openers started to accelerate clubbing 4's and 6's bring up the 100 in the 14th over. Sudesh bagged the first wicket, removing the opener Avinash Mishra, caught by Dennis for 69. The fall of the first wicket didn't slow Mask A, they ended their innings with 168/2, an impressive score given their slow start but not out of reach at the usually high scoring Rommen 'Oval.
Aliens began the run chance with Dennis and Ankush. The left-hand right-hand partnership upset the Mask A bowlers, 7 wides coming off the 4th over. Dennis and Ankush were scoring at such a rate that the Aliens bench had to triple check the score before updating the scoreboard. 43 for 0 after 5 overs. Aliens then lost 4 wickets 26 runs in the space of around 3 overs. Aliens continued to lose wickets at regular intervals, and in clusters. Despite Damon's 30, joint top score with Dennis, Aliens were bowled out for 141 in 18 overs.
