What to expect in the fag end of a Norwegian summer, well pretty much whats expected during summer 'rain and lots more of it'. After a couple of weeks off cricket on the field albeit not on screen for most, the 11 aliens who made themselves available to turn up on a saturday morning were greeted to a swamp in Baerum due to incessant rain during the week. Some well prepared in gummies. The opposition with the league title almost in their bag seemed reluctant and the umpires, well need I say anything. A few cricket optimists floated the idea of playing on the baseball field (ofcourse it has batting strip), but to nobody's surprise after umpire inspection the baseball arena was a swamp too.
With the formalities of game washed off seemingly done, Aliens after a bit of nostalgia, current cricket world affairs, cultural exchange, trying to pass the football like professionals with slick one touches at times with ballet like finesse decided to get to the closest mall for a cuppa. A couple of aliens found it wiser to please the missus instead to return home to pick up the chores.
So, Points shared, WAGs pleased for an early return, restaurant boss with some early business, besides cricket it was a good day to sit around and talk. As one Alien said " we should do this more often ofcourse with a game of cricket"
